This name was inspired in part by a former Hot Springs, Arkansas business. Animal Wonderland was operated by intelligent animal lovers who implemented both psychology and kindness to achieve positive behavior of animals under their stewardship. The business was in its prime during the mid to late 70's, utilized TV advertising heavily and used the Popeye theme song with a different and milder twist. A deep-voiced singer ended each ad "You can pet all the deer without any fear, at Animal Wonderland." This was well before PeTA came along, although I can't say how the organization would judge the work that Animal Wonderland did in their endeavors, yet I give those people Grade A's for their enterprise.

 Not long from now, family pets in both my family and friends whom I've invited will be featured. (I have a daytime job too) The format you see at first won't be the final format that Animal Wonderland settles on a public launch - just a "taste" of what this portal envisions itself to become. There will be stories with most if not all of these pets, and your stories which go with the pictures will be what can set this portal from the rest. Consider this the humble beginning of what I hope will become a Pet Portal that anyone can visit. Dogs and cats gain the most attention, but expect to see horses and backyard chickens with other birds too. Some or many of the pets have already passed on, yet there are good memories to share about them, and this site will always have a place to honor them. Watch for a "Contact" link in the future to reach me. Otherwise, come back often and enjoy as this populates with pictures and stories. I will announce when I have this opened for the public. By the way, we have a Twitter name chosen with announcements to help keep most users informed.

 I plan a basic launch during 2014 and will announce the account options, features for your security and privacy of both you and your pet(s), and more to expect going forth when the time is right. It's safe to say I'm putting much thought into this and will invite suggestions under certain circumstances. Both DOGEcoin and Bitcoin shall become payment options for those who choose paid accounts along with PayPal and most popular credit cards. My hosting will very soon change with a more dedicated site than I have now. May year 2014 be a wonderful time for you, your family, and your animals, and I thank each of you for passing on the word about this site.
